Shadowrun: Bad Apples
New York City, 2070. Reconstruction of Manhattan and the Greater New York area are finally complete.
Most of the Five Boroughs are back to business as usual, but Manhattan is a different story. The Island has become a corporate haven, a fortress built to stand against the teeming masses, where the rich and powerful can play with impunity, because they make all the rules. The MDC (Manhattan Development Corporation) is a council of thirteen of the most powerful corporations on the planet. They are the law of the land, and their subsidiary, NYPD, Inc. provides the grinding heel that is applied to those who don’t comply.
On the bright side, all those corporations jammed in to a single island due to the concentrated amount of political and financial clout makes for plenty of ‘off the book work’ to be done.
